The Vendor Order Administration works directly with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Logistics department, Customer Management teams, suppliers and vendors to provide logistical support for MRO activities at the Wichita Service Center (WSC). The Vendor Order Administrator is a Logistics Team Member performing diversified, logistical duties of a complex nature and coordinating the activities of vendor processes associated throughout the repair and overhaul of customer owned avionics; or analytical duties to resolve complex and diversified problems related to material functions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide logistical support to vendor management groups in their analysis of data related to lead times, scheduling, inventory, and procurement of parts and materials.
  • Analyze and interpret the numerous methods and techniques of logistic vendor process, making recommendations to avoid problems or eliminate difficulties.
  • Possess good people and communication skills within a team environment to expedite product through process to meet customer demand.
  • Adapt to technical/operational changes to include being present until order processing and AOG duties are complete.
  • Provide support to Vendor Order Administration team consisting of 3-4 employees.
  • Set day-to-day operational objectives within a clearly defined area of responsibility.
  • Manage vendor requirements to enable on-time shipments.
  • Make minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the work area.
  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own team, which may include Vendor Managers and Vendors depending upon the task at hand.
  • Provide logistical support to accommodate demands of customer and/or vendor.
  • Issue purchase orders and coordinate RMAs (return material authorizations) for Vendor activity.
  • Manage a pool of local and/or overseas vendors to ensure parts availability, effective cost and reliable turnaround time.
  • Reconcile service documentation discrepancies.

QUALIFICATION YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Must have experience utilizing SAP or similar data entry program.
  • Experience writing purchase orders and return material authorizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel using formulas and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Experience in aerospace aftermarket.
  • Prior experience working with business vendors.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
