The System Design & Architecture (SDA) Air and Naval Power Department is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to join the Tomahawk program production team.

This Lead Engineer is a key program role accountable for addressing production capacity issues, and improvements as well as be focused on the introduction of new All Up Round production variants. The Lead Engineer operates through coordination across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) among all disciplines to ensure production problems and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. The Lead Engineer will work closely with program Chief Engineers to allow coordinated execution of production capacity and / or introduction of new AUR variants into the production line. This will require that the Lead Engineer will work with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Program Management to ensure product delivery.

- Guide the overall system transition to production activity
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- A Minimum and 10 years' of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 8 years' of engineering experience
- Past work experience leading a team
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Current DoD Top Secret Clearance
- MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with model-based systems engineering and associated tools
- Experience with DOORS
- Familiarity with cPDM
- Familiarity with PRISM and missile production flows
- Experience using Agile framework development methods/processes
- Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
- Familiarity with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Familiarity with DoD customer infrastructure
- Familiarity with system safety, reliability, and configuration management
- Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
- Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations
- Experience working on multiple subsystem development programs.
- Experience across the product lifecycle, including concept development, architecture, design, integration, verification, and production.
- Ability to develop effective internal and external customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business.
- Experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
