Collins Aerospace is looking for a Technician, Material Verification and Control to join our Internal Make FAI CoE team. This position will create, review, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) packages in accordance with AS9102 and HRC QMS documentation.

This will be an onsite role at any of the following sites: Carlsbad, CA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Colorado Springs, CO, Coralville, IA, Fairfield, CA or Richardson, TX. No relocation opportunity, need to currently reside within reasonable commute to one of these facilities.

What You Will Do

  • Creates First Article Inspection Reports, which includes the review of products and both engineering and manufacturing processes in support of Manufacturing Operations.
  • Maintains quality data records, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external customers.
  • Information Management - Uses various software packages to maintain and update documents and records.
  • Work with inspectors to assure compliance to quality.
  • Support CORE initiatives through participation and implementation.
  • Participate in special FAI projects as assigned.

  • Monitor and adjust work assignments as priorities dictate.
  • Audit adherence to processes and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Inspection experience and workmanship knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints
  • SAP Experience
  • Knowledge of DISCUS software and/or Net-Inspect

The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 70,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
