What You Will Do:
The Military EDSI organization within Pratt & Whitney is seeking an engineering leader to spearhead the evolution of Digital Product Definition for a future military program. Customer requirements and industry progress necessitate a step change in the contents and fidelity of Digital Product Definition, encompassing enhanced information on dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes, with digital threads linking product definition to all internal and external manufacturing and assembly stakeholders. In the past few years, Pratt & Whitney has invested in significant internal development activities to enable these new capabilities. The program is now seeking a focal to own the implementation of these new processes of Product Definition across all engine components, as well as integration with Operations, Manufacturing, Assembly and external suppliers.
- Drive consistent, complete and unambiguous Model Based Definition requirements across program Product Definition activities.
- Spearhead deployment of required Model Based Definition software into secure network environments, working with Government Security Compliance and Secure Computing and leveraging work of Model Based Definition pilot activities.
- Integrate with all CIPTs and Module Centers on Product Definition for consistent application of standards and best practices.
- Drive, track and report training and proficiency level for Model Based Definition for all program Product Definition support.
- Ensure all program Model Based Definition data elements (geometry, annotations, attributes, product characteristics, presentation states) are created with human and machine-readable compliance and may be digitally consumed in a traceable manner in internal and external Operations.
- Integrate with program Operations and Manufacturing on planned deployment and utilization of Model Based Definition by suppliers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- BS Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) and minimum 8+ years' prior relevant experience.
- Experience with CAD and PLM software.
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
- Ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5+ years' experience.
- Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
- Knowledge on PMI reuse and repurpose.
- Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with MBD related standards (ASME Y14.5-2018, ASME Y14.41-2019, ASME Y14.47-2019, MIL-STD-31000B) and interoperable file formats (STEP 242, QIF, JT).
- Experience with MBD related translation and validation software (ITI CADIQ, Capvidia MBDVidia/CompareVidia, Elysium 3Dx Suite, etc.).
- Familiarity with working in an Agile framework.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
