Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer, for satellite Operations and Maintenance (O&M) position. The selected candidate will join a skilled O&M team working in a 24/7 operations environment. The O&M team is responsible for all aspects of Operations Planning and Command and Control, including monitoring day-to-day activities as well as identifying and solving challenging problems as they occur. After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be part of a certified team of subject matter experts that are integral to our customer's success. What You Will Do
- Build and/or implement a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems.
- Obtain/maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario at hand.
- Obtain/apply technical knowledge on various hardware subsystems.
- Document discrepancies as they occur. Implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system anomalies.
- Contribute to the testing, readiness, training, and implementation of new ground software deliveries.
- Crosstrain in other operator positions as assigned and assist with training of other personnel on the contract team.
- Support test activities as necessary.
- Availability to work overtime and non-scheduled call-in.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience implementing and following technical instructions, processes and procedures
- An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience providing/receiving training to/from a wide range of learning/teaching styles
- Working in a virtual team environment
- Proficient use of both Windows and UNIX platform
- Experience with Perl, Python, VBA, and/or other scripting languages
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
