The selected Supplier Quality Engineer will provide support to the Raw Materials Product Center Global Supply Chain organization relative to improvement of suppliers' Quality as well as providing Quality interface, expertise and support to Suppliers. The candidate will interact with state of the art casting and forging producers. The position offers opportunities for continued growth and development in both technical as well as interpersonal skills.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with Casting and/or Forging Suppliers' Quality and Operations Management teams, as well as P&W internal disciplines (engineering, procurement, and other support organizations) to resolve production challenges in a fast paced environment.
- Work with suppliers to help them meet P&W quality requirements and achieve best-in-class quality, delivery and service to ensure P&W customer confidence.
- Monitor supplier overall quality performance and proactive quality initiatives, such as, conducting supplier Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB), and visits to domestic and international suppliers for ongoing Supplier Wellness Assessments.
- Conduct data analysis in PW QLIK dashboards and SAP to collect and analyze data to implement process and design changes at suppliers to improve their quality and productivity.
- Escape Management Support to Investigation Managers in Quality Clinic. Collect/Compile data and drive Continuous improvement initiatives at the Supplier in reaction to escapes, and in support of reduced cost and lead-time.
- Hold Suppliers accountable for robust root cause and corrective actions and implement sustainable corrective / preventive action on all escapes and high impact recurring quality issues.
- Engage with and present information to cross-functional leadership teams as it pertains to supplier improvement efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or supply chain or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Basic understanding of investment castings and products like airfoil castings and structural castings.
- Must be able to obtain data from part prints/specifications, and then process that data into meaningful information on process capability.
- Computer skills- Proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel.
- Practical CORE/Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Quality tools such as 8D, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T and PPAP.
- Experience with SAP and other IT Quality system a plus.
- Understanding of ASQR-01 / AS9100.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
