The following position is to join our RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC) EH&S team:
RTRC EH&S team is seeking an EH&S Intern to support Environmental, Health and Safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance and continuously improve.
What You Will do
- Provides support for the Health, Safety and Environment Team to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with government regulations and company procedures
- Assist with job hazard analysis (JHA) in a lab environment
- Develop and deploy EH&S trainings
- Assist in gathering process data and analyzing for report submittal to regulatory agencies
- Strengthen an audit and inspection program
- Conduct EHS Assessment
- Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications You Must Have
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following disciplines: Environmental Science, Health & Safety or a related field. Candidates must not graduate prior August 2025. Please submit a copy of your academic transcripts with your application.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental policies
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Team player but able to work independently to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment

Location: This position is in East Hartford, CT and is an onsite role.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
