The Strategic Communication Co-op will work collaboratively with the Strategic Communication Team (SCT) to create a variety of strategic campaigns that advance overarching corporate goals and business goals of specific groups across BBN. Works with and translates information from engineers, scientists, business developers and other BBN community members to develop and direct compelling communications to those with influence over BBN's success, both internal and external.

What You Will Do:

  • Write and coordinate distribution of communication products, including press releases, web and print materials, social media content, and talking points

  • Assist with multimedia production and digital asset development


  • Brainstorm and develop concepts for upcoming projects and marketing strategies


  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Must hold U.S. citizenship


  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Communication Studies, Public Relations, or a related field of study.


  • Candidates must be able to commit to full-time work (40 hours per week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.) for a 6-month period.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills


  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently and with teams


  • Marketing savvy, creative and forward-thinking


  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


  • Bonus: Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
