Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology, is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team. A minimum Collateral Secret is required. Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business.
This position is onsite in Richardson, TX.
What YOU will do:
- You will be a subject matter expert (SME) on the team in one or more of the following technologies:
- Virtualization
- Servers

- You will work to review and define technology standards.
- You will assist in driving escalations to resolution.
- You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE)
- You will use your advected knowledge to facilitate resolution of new and existing complex solutions.
- You will advise on the technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned.
- You will be a key focal contact for a med/large infrastructure teams on the initiatives they are assigned.
- Provide SME support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams.
- Support basic Linux use cases.

Qualifications you must have:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting technology in a professional environment, secure environment experience preferred:
- Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.)
- Linux Systems Administration
- Networking (important)
- Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53) - Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (ex. Sec+). Active cert preferred.
- Ability to obtain technical certifications in one of the following technologies (Virtualization, Networking, Windows Administration, or Linux)
- Ability to obtain a Collateral Secret Govt. Security Clearance, up to Top Secret. Active Clearance is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
