Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney Engineering Support to Operations Engineering (ESTO) is seeking a proactive, goal oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work for the ESTO organization as an Integrated Product Team Leader in a role based in Columbus, Georgia. In this on-site role you'll be responsible for project management for the Operation Commercial Engines, PW4000 and PW2000 compressor blades and vanes working directly with the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT) and the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organizations along with the quality and manufacturing engineering teams based at Columbus Forge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements.
  • Facilitating project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment and completion with overall project objectives.
  • Plan and manage budget for all hardware and tasks.
  • Prepare/present status and technical content to ESTO Leadership, CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management.
  • Identifying and addressing project problems and recommending resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects, including class 2 engineering changes.
  • Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5+ years of Engineering experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other scheduling software
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Exposure to project, cost, and schedule management helpful
  • Possess excellent judgement, professional maturity, and cultural awareness.
  • Analytical skills and ability to provide creative solutions.

What is my role type?

In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We've introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

This position is open to internal applicants only within Pratt & Whitney. To help sure up our military programs, we are looking to reallocate resources to USG direct charging roles and therefore consider this to be an internal to Pratt movement. We may look to open these opportunities upon more broadly once we complete the initial Pratt talent moves.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
