Are you a strategic thinker eager to influence Agile software development at Raytheon? As a Product Owner in our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, you'll be the vital bridge between our Agile teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of key business capabilities. What you will do
- Lead as a Product Owner one or more Agile software development teams following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Influence and subsequently own execution of a product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Collaborate with product management, business owners, stakeholders, customers, architects and software developers to translate complex business opportunities into actionable development feature objectives
- Manage and regularly maintain a prioritized product backlog
- Ensure user stories are clear, well-defined and meet acceptance criteria
- Validate, accept, and report on delivered work items
- Be an active participant, contributor, and promoter for SAFe ceremonies, including program increment planning, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
- Communicate and present to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to best practices, guidelines, training, and knowledge-sharing in collaboration with peers to maintain and build upon a best in business Product Owner community
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 7 years of experience.
- Minimum 2 years previous experience working as an Agile Product Owner or Product Manager supporting software development
- Experience in technical and product management leadership
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Certified Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or equivalent Agile certification
- Deep experience supporting execution using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Experience with agile planning/management tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar
- Experience leading in a technical or software development environment
- Documented results supporting collaborative analysis and problem-solving
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally with proven strong communication, project management, and change management skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities effectively

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
