  • In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
  • We are seeking a Senior Principal Integration Engineer to join our Engineering team in Aurora, Colorado for the role of a Product Owner. In this role, you will work with cross-disciplinary team of engineers who are leading the industry in ground systems solutions.
  • The Product Owner plans the team's scope to complete them timely and efficiently during each program increment. The team's scope involves ensuring that the program's complex suite of software and hardware subsystems are available and ready to support its mission. In this role, the Product Owner will report to the Chief Product Owner and will have an impact across the various functions and program teams.

What You Will Do

  • Responsibilities include managing multiple environments, providing oversight to test automation, managing various lab, managing team's backlog, leading the team during program increment planning, managing the team's capacity, conducting retrospectives to continuously improve after each program increment, and developing metric-driven BOE in support of EAC as it relates to cost and schedule.
  • The Product Owner also participates in various program reviews and conducts presentations to the customer as well as senior program management.
  • Oversee and provide daily direction to the assigned Product Team
  • Manage multiple system environments across various locations and ensure its readiness and availability
  • Manage the team's backlog and capacity during each program increment
  • Provide test/checkout sizing for all initiatives added to the backlog that are not yet covered by regression tests
  • Develop metric-driven BOEs and support LRE/EAC activities
  • Regularly interact with the End-User (US Space Force) by managing and nurturing the business relationship, managing expectations vs. scope of contract, proactively addressing emerging needs, and identifying results.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Owner and align Product Team's priorities with program leadership
  • Coordinate resources and schedule using execution performance metrics
  • Works independently, determines & develops approach to solution
  • Willingness to travel in support of offsite testing and meetings
  • Work in an Agile program environment
  • Work in a classified lab on site in Aurora, Colorado

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM)
  • Experience in Integration and Test engineering, technical team leadership experience
  • Experience preparing and executing Integration and Regression procedures
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems, Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
  • Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Test Automation experience (Cucumber or Gherkin)
  • Experience with Raytheon EclipseTM or Raytheon EquinoxTM, Experience with Java, C++, or Python, Experience with Linux operating system

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
