Sr Principal System Administrator in infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
What You Will Do:
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment
- Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS)
- Working with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned
- Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date
- Full time 100% Onsite position
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Must have an active a transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date and must have ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Access
- Must have Linux systems administration experience to include Ansible
- Must have Containerization experience such as Kubernetes
- Experience with VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESXi deployment and administration
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- VMware deployment and administration experience highly desired
- DevSecOps experience with pipeline development desired
- Basic Windows experience desired
- Administrative scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification
- Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
