The Senior Principal LTAMDS (Lower Tier Air Missile Defense Sensor) Program Quality Engineer (PQE) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will support the US LRIP (Low Rate Initial Production) program within the portfolio and work as an on-site employee at our Tewksbury, MA location. Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a meaningful strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts.

This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and interface with US Government Customers, Suppliers and our internal Raytheon Quality team. The LTAMDS portfolio includes contracts in all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases, including design and development, production, and sustainment.

What You Will Do
- Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
- Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.
- Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs' implementation and influence.
- Responsible for improving processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and information is typically difficult to obtain.
- Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
- Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
- Driving initiatives to reduce program costs mitigating Program Risks and capturing Opportunity.
- Support implementation of APQP (AS9145) as applicable.
Qualification You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of engineering experience.
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
- Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
- Active U.S. security clearance.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
- Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.
- Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
- Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.
- Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.
- Passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
- Meaningful leader that exhibits presence and influence.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.
- Understanding of Engineering processes, Change Management, Part Selection

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
