Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC facility. We're looking for a Product Manufacturing Engineer to join the ACF Team and work to enable its production startup and production deliveries.
This Position is Onsite in Asheville.
What You Will Do:
- Own the sequence of operations for assigned parts. Drive completion of work instructions.
- Own FAI development and coordinate necessary approval documentation.
- Organize and Lead PPAP/MRL development on assigned hardware. Drive actions to closure.
- Track Product Quality/Cost and identify improvements where opportunities exist.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and support continuous improvement.
- Be the face of Manufacturing in discussions with Engineering on production related issues.
- Define and Lead projects to make/modify required tooling strings to exceed design intent.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing) and 5 or more years' experience in a manufacturing operations environment or a master's degree and 3 or more years' experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
- Strong project engineering/planning and communication/presentation skills are a must for this position.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- CORE/Six Sigma Practitioner/professional certification.
- Understanding of continuous improvement concepts: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in Single Crystal Airfoil Casting and Inspection Processes.
- Proficiency in NX, Teamcenter, Solumina, MBDMI.
- Proficiency in Interpreting Engineering Definition and GD&T.
- Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
- Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
