Join our team as a Specialist, Global Trade Technology Management and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of cutting-edge avionics technology across borders. In this highly specialized position, you will leverage your expertise in export and import regulations, specifically around ECCN, USML, and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), to support our Global Trade program and technology management initiatives. What YOU Will Do:
- Working under/within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and HTS
- Perform most sophisticated JC analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.)
- Perform HTS classifications.
- Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures.
- Determine root cause of escapes and implement corrective actions to support process improvement.
- Analyze business needs (including technology needs) with respect to export authorization requirements
- Support Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies.
- Support development and delivery of formal and informal J/C and HTS Focal training.
What YOU Will Learn:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of U.S. export and import regulations, including the Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), as they apply to advanced avionics technologies.
- Gain hands-on experience in performing sophisticated jurisdiction classification (JC) analyses, resolving escalations, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance with global trade requirements.
- Enhance your investigative skills by supporting reviews of potential Global Trade (GT) escapes, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions that drive process improvements across the business unit.
- Learn how to effectively manage the submission of Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) requests and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) reports to government agencies, strengthening your understanding of government compliance interactions.
- Build your leadership capabilities by developing and delivering specialized training on jurisdiction classification and HTS to internal teams, becoming a go-to expert in global trade compliance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration
- Engineering and/or technical background
- Aerospace (program/technical) experience
- Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS
- Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations; specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)
- 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HTS classification matters
- Experience with Collins/RTX current trade compliance related processes (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.) and Collins specific GT related systems (GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT) is a plus

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
