As a summer intern, you will play an integral role in supporting various projects, working with industry experts, and contributing to the innovative solutions that define Collins Aerospace.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to ongoing engineering, manufacturing, and research projects.
  • Engage in hands-on activities to gain practical experience in aerospace technologies and systems.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to project objectives.
  • Attend training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to enhance your technical skills.
  • Provide support in the development and testing of aerospace systems and components.
  • Participate in collaborative problem-solving sessions and contribute to the creative process.
  • Contribute to the documentation and reporting of project progress and outcomes.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to operate professional grade equipment on/off site in a production environment with customers.
  • Learn the basics of virtual set production and how it incorporates into our production/development process.
  • Operate and learn exciting new technologies to create audio and video content to include drones, virtual sets, render machines, latest and greatest camera/audio hardware, and much more.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Technical proficiency in engineering and aerospace concepts.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
