We are seeking a Software Engineer II, Software Applications Test Engineer to work onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date.

What You Will Do:

Specific tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • The selected candidate will support the C2BMC Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC).
  • This position will participate in software design and peer reviews, develop test specifications and infrastructure, execute manual and automated test and perform analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Candidate should have good working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Experience documenting software deficiency reports; presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document).
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience.
  • The candidate will have experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
  • Test Preferred knowledge: Knowledge of an Agile development process; Automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment Requirement and verification analysis; Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data; Development of action plans based upon analysis of data..

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active TSSCI Clearance
  • Command and control system application development
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience desired;
  • Test driven development desired
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
  • Knowledge in a DevSecOps environment
  • Security+ certification

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
