As a Senior Systems V&V Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with system and software engineering teams to provide verification testing of Military Radios. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What YOU will do:

  • Serve as a lead systems engineer to capture, analyze, decompose, model, translate and create requirements for large complex systems and may lead system integration.
  • Mentor team in the development of functional, interface and performance specifications for hardware and software implementation.
  • Identify and document architecturally significant requirements and technical risk areas.
  • May serve as system lead in integration, verification and validation for large complex systems.
  • Lead technical proposal preparation and serve as a subject matter expert in non-advocate, internal and customer reviews
  • Estimate, track, manage and report status relating to technical, cost, schedule, and risk performance for assigned scope of work which may span across multiple projects.
  • Recommend new approaches, tools and techniques that drive continuous improvement in technical development processes.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining/maintaining an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level or higher. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Polarion
  • Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming language
  • Advanced knowledge of modern system software development processes
  • Significant development experience in one or more of the following technical areas: Electromechanical Hardware, Software, Communications systems, Network and Infrastructure
  • Experience working independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps practices (prior experience not a requirement).
