Applied Signal Technology: WHO WE ARE
What You Will Do:
- Apply your C++ software development experience to design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software applications that perform environment survey, snapshot, detection, identification, direction finding, geolocation, and collection of modern wireless communication signals and radars.
- Responsible for integration and maintenance of a product, including debugging issues to root causes.
- Put into practice your solid understanding of concepts related to software architecture and design, and agile programming practices including continuous integration and automated build and test practices.
- Travel up to 25% of time on average.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn COMINT/ELINT principles and concepts and work side-by-side with industry recognized technical leaders to develop and implement state of the art airborne ISR systems.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing complex object-oriented C++ software solutions in an embedded Linux environment.
- Experience developing, integrating, and testing real-time multithreaded embedded software applications.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Current TS or TS/SCI with Poly clearance or Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, and/or similar scripting/programming languages in a Linux software development environment.
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols and standards (3G, 4G, and/or 5G).
- Domain experience and engineering technical skills in one or more of the following areas:
- EW and/or ELINT system and software development
- Pulse Descriptor Word parameters.
- Radar signal identification/sorting (Deinterleaving)
- EW/ELINT PED operations
- JICD 4 standards

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
