What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer responsible for, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions; lead and participate in various teams in support of the unit's CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) goals
  • Review and approve First Article inspections and Process Tryouts; perform product, process and work instruction audits
  • Interface with various Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues related to engine manual repairs and other approved technical data
  • Review and implement various regulatory requirement changes; provide technical guidance and training to OEM Parts Inspectors
  • Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in in a STEM field and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or project management environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or project management environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously with ability to obtain, organize and analyze quality data
  • Hold a Secret Clearance OR be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree (aerospace, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, quality)
  • Understanding of Pratt & Whitney's Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems and experience using CORE tools
  • Demonstrated effective root cause determination skills, Red-X, Fault Tree, etc.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
