This position will require regular communication with parties both internal and externally to communicate quality results and identify process and systems improvements. This position requires the ability to prioritize and perform complex tasks within established deadlines. The successful candidate for this assignment must be able to work independently and on project teams in a fast-paced environment using a variety of technologies, reporting skills, communication skills, basic understanding of the Manufacturing Operations as well as basic business and financial acumen.
What You Will Do
- Lead and maintain AS9100 and NADCAP compliance, including internal audits, certification processes, and corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions to meet industry standards.
- Support product and process quality engineering by establishing quality plans, root cause analysis, and driving corrective/preventive and improvement actions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and optimize processes.
- Facilitate internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer-specific quality audits, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards.
- Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and defects, implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide leadership and mentoring in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and KPIs to senior leadership and customers.
- Drive problem resolution through to completion for customer and internal escapes.
- Utilizes Advance Quality Planning techniques (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, 8-D and Control Plans, etc.) to identify risks and propose mitigation solutions.
- Participate in real-time problem resolution with production and Quality Clinic teams
- Required Skills:
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources while keeping the big picture in mind.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and aerospace regulatory requirements.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and quality system auditing.
- Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D problem-solving, and Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with special processes (heat treatment, coatings, welding,) and associated NADCAP requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Qualifications You Must
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
- AS9100 Lead Auditor
- AS9102 First Article Inspection knowledge / NETINSPECT
- IPC-A-610 and ESD awareness
- Ability to interpret and understand blueprints / engineering drawings
- Knowledge of business management systems: ERP / SAP, ETQ, configuration tools etc.
- Competent in the use of common IT software including Microsoft Word / Excel / Access databases and SharePoint.
- Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D problem-solving, and Six Sigma).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
