Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Senior Principal System Security Engineer (SSE) - P5 to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a dynamic, high-profile program located in Largo, FL. This position is in a technical growth area, and we need individuals who can apply their technical knowledge and experience to system security engineering and program protection concerns within the key areas of cybersecurity.

This role will lead the operations and maintenance of classified information system located onsite at Raytheon. The SSE will participate in the development of security solutions and will be responsible for leading and executing the security efforts for secure system products. Activities will consist of security subsystem specifications, security subsystem architecture, interface descriptions, RMF assessment and authorization, and vulnerability assessments. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Largo, Florida.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of System Administrators to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems and applications
- Manage and optimize the Windows based server infrastructure in a distributed information system
- Providing leadership in support of administrative tasking, to include corrective/preventive maintenance, recurring operations functions, account management, and system optimization
- Lead administrators whose duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
- Participating in Change Request reviews, to include participating in Change Management boards at multiple program levels
- Coordinating technical and process document reviews and resolving system administration, engineering, and integration issues
- Participating and leading technical meetings with team members and other program personnel
- Participate in the development and implementation of systems security solutions
- Perform hands-on technical implementation of security solutions comprised of COTS & FOSS technology
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of prior relevant experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain Special Access Clearance is required
- Experience with designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real-time security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs
- Experience in developing system requirements and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystems
- Experience with the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, and prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, backup, and/or recovery enterprise suites
- Must possess Security Certification in accordance with Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification, CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification)
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent analytical abilities, critical thinking, and creative problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
- Industry certifications including but not limited to: CISSP, ITIL, ISC2

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
