The Electronic Warfare and Signal Processing department is seeking a senior Software Systems Engineer to support our emerging programs product area. This engineer will provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary program teams and partner with the lead system engineer to ensure that the systems engineering processes are in place and followed. The Senior Software Systems Engineer will use their expertise in radar, software engineering, and signal processing to provide technical guidance and be the technical point of contact for advanced radar and Electronic Warfare capabilities.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary program teams to develop and design complex electronic warfare or radar systems and provide technical guidance to the team
- Lead a team in the derivation of system requirements, functional analyses, system design maturation, and development of advanced simulations and performance models
- Develop technical performance metrics for system architectures that support engagement of emerging complex threats
- Participate in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to technical tasks across the product development lifecycle from early demonstrations to production and sustainment.
- Execute in-house and off-site system demonstration activities for demonstrations and/or subsystem sell-off, and brief senior program and engineering leadership
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior Systems Engineering experience.
- Experience providing technical briefs to subcontractors, senior level executives, and/or customers.
- Experience in development of Electronic Warfare, Radar, or RF products and systems.
- Experience with software engineering and software architecture of radar or EW systems
- Experience with execution of EW/Radar systems integration, verification, and validation activities in either lab or field environments.
- Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Advanced education in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field such as electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, etc.
- Strong communication skills. This role will be responsible for communicating technical status to customers, program, functional, and business leaders.
- Domain expertise in digital signal processing, electronic warfare techniques, radar modes, or RF tactical communication waveforms
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within 5 years

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
