Are you big into Crypto? We're not talking currency. Our Crypto team in the creates cutting edge embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications products. We regularly work with the N.S.A. to ensure our military communications are secure and trustworthy.
Our team works alongside multiple hardware, FPGA, and software teams to seamlessly embed our advanced technology into several different products, all with the end goal of keeping our warfighters safe and secure and bringing them home. This team gets to work on a wide variety of innovative products, both new and existing, so it's not your typical repetitive workload.

No, you do not need to come from a crypto background, this team will provide the tools and training to grow your skills & knowledge in cybersecurity and algorithms and how they play a role in all our products.
What You Will Do:
- YOU Will Lead and Execute: Take ownership of software development and integration role on a multi-threaded embedded C++ product software code base.
- You Will Design and Develop: Drive the design and development of embedded cryptographic solutions and communications products
- YOU Will Be Part of a Team: Collaborate closely with project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution and certification support
- YOU will Mentor and Guide: Mentor and Coach software developers in technical and process-related areas
- YOU will be a Strategic Contributor: Play a pivotal role in key decision-making processes, contributing insights and expertise to ensure the successful development and deployment of applications across multiple product lines.
What You Will Learn:
- Enhance proficiency in C++, Python, and embedded Linux through practical application in real-world projects.
- Explore secure systems and software development principles within a supportive team environment.
- Develop insights into cryptographic applications, fostering a deeper understanding of their implementation and implications.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Software development and integration experience on complex multi-threaded embedded C and C++ product software code bases.
- Experience with standard full lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Crypto system requirements capture, design formulation, algorithms and implementation
- Verification and validation of crypto system functional and security requirements
- Development of artifacts to support certification of crypto system and components
- Experience with Information Assurance and/or Cybersecurity industry standards of practice
- Experience leading teams and running projects through the full software

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
