The Senior Principal, DT COTS Integration Specialist (internal job code Manager, Business System & Transformation) will be an individual contributor that works with organizations to develop, maintain and support business applications through understanding business process implications and applying process improvement concepts for redesign. This individual will manage external vendors and lead efforts to align services, technology, and initiatives with business strategies and needs.

This position is also responsible for installing, configuring and testing both new applications and legacy systems, which requires understanding of systems integration for applications.

This role is onsite and can be based at any Raytheon site.

What You Will Do

  • Provide IT application and systems administration in a mixed Microsoft Windows and Linux environment. Focused on supporting Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain COTS Software.
  • Request and manage computer infrastructure, conduct Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes, and deploy Server/Client applications, working autonomously with limited oversight.
  • Review and vet software to ensure compliance with Raytheon's cybersecurity standards and legal policies, coordinating with cybersecurity teams for audits.
  • Manage software purchases, licensing, and renewals to ensure continuous operation and cost management. This includes supporting CWA contracts and contract negotiations. Handle vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, service level agreements, and resolving issues. Liaise between internal end-users and external vendors to ensure the protection and confidentiality of proprietary Raytheon information.
  • Manage moderately sized projects or processes such as internal team task assignments via or cross-functional process consolidation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and information of the deployed software and the environment.
  • Lead efforts in standardizing software monitoring methods for the team. Monitor software performance and usage, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
  • Supports the department manager in activities like occasional meeting representation, contributing to the team goals, or project planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for software implementation and upgrades, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Industrial IT support experience
  • Experience in Linux and Windows server management
  • Experience setting up, deploying, and administering applications in the Cloud environment (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Experience leading small teams or projects
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting Engineering, Operations, and/or Supply Chain organizations, especially in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Experience applying the Purdue model
  • VMware highly desired
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
  • Knowledge of COTS software integration and process automation
  • Advanced understanding of network security and data protection

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
