The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Senior Manager to be part of the ESC&C team within the Raytheon Technologies' Enterprise Service organization in Farmington, CT. This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.
What you Will Do:
- Be responsible for Pratt & Whitney Intercompany Accounting. The Senior Manager is directly responsible for 2 individuals (Team Leads), and indirectly responsible for another 10+ individuals on the Operations Team.
- Take macro approach in determining root causes impacting unreconciled issues. Apply knowledge to lead BU participants in process improvements around intercompany to solve root cause issues. Conduct value stream mapping events.
- Drive process improvements across entities and work closely with other Business Unit leads to create value for Raytheon Technologies by eliminating waste and increasing controls.
- Senior Manager is responsible for reviewing assigned account reconciliations monthly. Upon review unreconciled items should be followed up with timely resolution and financial risk is accounted for.
- Furthermore, Senior Manager is responsible for the completeness of the monthly closing tasks.
- The Senior Manager has overall responsibility to ensure at the Raytheon Technologies consolidated level that all intercompany transactions are in balance to support the external financial reporting.
- The position is responsible for growing and developing others through training, creating opportunities, and ensuring an inclusive work environment.
- Additionally, this position participates in the Accounting Operations & Process Management Leadership Team. They actively ensure that customer needs are fulfilled across the department as well as the employee experience.
Qualifications You Must Have
- This role typically requires a minimum of 10+ Years' experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a related Bachelor's degree (or 7+ years w/ a related advanced degree)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements."
- At least 7 years' experience with and knowledge of current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- CPA a plus
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
- Operational Finance experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations
- At least 5 years' experience leading and managing a team.
- At least 7 years' experience and knowledge of reporting using SAP and OneStream
- Knowledge of current intercompany team and processes

- This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside near an RTX hub (Cedar Rapids IA, Dallas TX, Tucson, AZ, Hartford CT).

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
