Air & Space Defense Systems is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager, Contracts to lead contract strategy and execution within the Specter Portfolio. This highly visible role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex contractual landscapes, manage risk, and foster strong customer relationships in support of U.S. Government contracts and critical pursuit opportunities.

This position is an onsite role to collaborate and support the program team in Tucson, AZ
What You Will Do:
As a trusted advisor to leadership and business teams, the Senior Manager will:
- Serve as the primary contractual authority, guiding negotiations and providing innovative solutions to complex issues.
- Lead contract strategy development and execution across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with government regulations.
- Identify and mitigate contractual and business risks, proactively driving solutions to closure in a collaborative and timely manner.
- Act as a change agent, championing process improvements and operational excellence to enhance contract management practices.
- Foster partnerships with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive performance, secure customer satisfaction, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Report directly to the Associate Director, Contracts for the Specter Portfolio and act as their primary backup.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts (USG) contracts administration / management including proposals, cost structures, performance requirements, delivery schedules, terms and conditions or other closely related contracts experience.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) and related government regulations.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proven track record of independently managing workloads and driving issues to resolution Proven leadership in a complex, fast-paced, and changing environment, where prioritization and adaptation is required to be effective
- Experience with administration and negotiation of complex proposals and contracts.
- Extensive FAR-based contractual experience with demonstrated ability to teach and mentor junior contracts professionals.
- Effectively oversee a high volume of proposals and negotiations, coordinate program support, and effectively communicate status and help needed to internal leadership.
- Significant knowledge of contract formation with a broad understanding of risk, terms and conditions, and contractual mitigations while complying with internal policies
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
