Raytheon Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is looking for an experienced Senior Information Technology (IT) Systems Hardware Technician candidate to support our team based out of Aurora, CO. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing Tier 2 installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support on IT Systems and related peripheral hardware. The qualified candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team that is dedicated to high performance and execution; focused on the support and maintenance of real-time IT Systems and other hardware.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide Tier 2 break/fix hardware support for program supported real-time IT Systems on an Operations and Maintenance contract
  • Screen, refer, and diagnose internal incidents and work requests as they relate to maintenance of IT Systems Hardware
  • Provide timely updates, tracking and referral, follow-up, and resolution entries in the Incident Tracking resource tool
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and de-install IT Systems Hardware
  • Coordinate with system integrators, maintainers, partner programs, and end users to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Screen, refer, and diagnose internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of Desktop Thin Client and Thick Client personal computers and associated network systems
  • Provide end-user software troubleshooting and support
  • Coordinate development of deliverables and products; be able to track project surveys, plans, and action items
  • Participate in special projects as required
  • Work responsibilities are 100% onsite full time
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Desktop IT Hardware and MS Windows Operating Systems; installation, maintenance, and support.
  • Experience with IT Systems, peripheral hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support.
  • Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Maintains knowledge of the evolving IT landscape and aligns skills to current relevant technology.
  • Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces; under floor and above ceiling as required.
  • Team player that is willing to provide support to a variety of tasks and to support high priority customer activities.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE is highly desired.
  • UNIX is desired.
  • Red Hat Linux is desired.
  • Experience and understanding of remote VoIP administration.
  • Experience with conferencing system configuration and installation.
  • Familiarity with telephone testing, installation, and equipment.
  • Experience working in a DoD customer environment.
  • Experience fabricating, installing, and troubleshooting CAT5/CAT6, copper, and fiber optic cables.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher). IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
