Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team! In this role, you'll support the next generation of Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems while also providing crucial support for existing systems. We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer experienced in electronic design, who is comfortable with both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom hardware solutions to meet system requirements. This position uniquely blends classic design techniques with modern electronics knowledge and hands-on laboratory skills.

What You Will Do:
- You will work 3 days a week onsite at our Marlborough, MA facility on a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
- You will identify potential replacement commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) candidates, conduct trade studies, and select the device that best meets requirements.
- You will perform preliminary and detailed design activities.
- You will conduct testing in the lab to support Engineering Change Proposals, including device-level bench testing and system integration testing.
- You will write detailed verification test plans and test reports.
- You will mentor junior engineers throughout the product development cycle.
- You will have opportunities to lead a small team of hardware development engineers in support of Engineering Change Proposals.
- You will interface with other disciplines (Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain) to support product development.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on electronic design and comfortable with both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom hardware.
- Must have experience collaborating across engineering disciplines, supply chain, suppliers, field engineering, and customers on project deliverables and requirements.
- Must have experience completing technical documentation related to Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, and Preliminary and Detailed Design artifacts and presentations.
- Education: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
