This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineering Design Engineer. The position will support electronic control system development programs for aerospace products.

This role is responsible for solving complex design challenges and becoming proficient in various designs and design processes in the electrical design discipline.

This individual will be a key technical contributor in the design, development, and support of electronic control products within the Collins Aerospace Power & Controls product line.

What You Will Do

  • This senior engineer will solve design challenges and participate as part of a cross functional team of engineers.
  • The engineer will work on projects ranging from new product development, existing product sustainment, production support, and field investigations.
  • Responsible to perform development program design activities including design concept, part selection, circuit schematics, circuit analysis and design reviews.
  • Responsible to support circuit printed wiring board (PWB) layout and routing.
  • Responsible for design verification test activities including verification test plans and procedures, test readiness reviews, test execution in the lab, data review and test reports.
  • Responsible to support unit level environmental qualification test efforts for EMI and other environments such as temperature, altitude, humidity, etc.
  • Contributes to program planning efforts with schedules and budgets.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A strong designer with prior experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis, complex logic devices.
  • Prior experience with electronic circuit testing methodologies, and hardware / software integration.
  • System hardware / software integration test experience using LABVIEW or Test Stand
  • Clear and effective communication and teamwork skills in a cross-discipline work environment interacting with design engineers, project leads, lab personnel, program managers and customers.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
