The Sensor Controls & Electronics Department is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong COTS computing and networking background to join our Hardware and Infrastructure team implementing the next generation RADAR solutions. This position is for an Electrical Engineer who will work with Product Leads and other team members on a variety of tasks related to the design and development of systems using Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) computing and networking products.

What You Will Do
Engineer will work as part of a highly motivated team and will collaborate with cross-functional project teams making up a larger program or internal research and development efforts.
- COTS hardware infrastructure system design (e.g. X86-based processors)
- Research and selection of servers, workstations, add-in interface cards, storage devices, and other COTS hardware
- BIOS and operating system configuration definition
- System prototyping and integration in the lab
Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel
This position will sit in Tewksbury, MA or the Marlborough, MA location
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
Minimum 5 years professional experience in at least 2 of the following areas (an advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for two additional years of experience):
- Experience with emerging and legacy hardware and software, including Unix and Linux operating systems
- Experience with taking a system design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and developing a complete COTS-based hardware design and then verifying the design via integration and test plans and activities
- Experience working in a lab environment and operating standard test equipment including tools such as oscilloscopes, processor bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools, etc.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Current or in-progress computing/networking certification(s) (e.g. CCNA, AWS, CISSP)
- Experience with RADAR system hardware
- Experience with Firewall design and configuration
- Experience collaborating in development with hardware engineering disciplines, supply chain, suppliers, field engineering, on-site installation and trades, and Customers to develop and deliver safety critical systems
- Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides and network hardening
- Experience with system level hardware integration and troubleshooting skills

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
