Calibration Engineering Technician, Measurement & Test Equipment (Onsite)
What You Will Do:
The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking to add a Calibration Engineering Specialist (P2) to our team. This position assures that all Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE) equipment meet the requirements as specified in PWA-Material Control Lab manual and other Aerospace requirements. It will support Quality, Production, and Non-Production initiatives utilizing CORE tools. Duties include servicing & calibrating M&TE, Capability & Suitability testing of M&TE, non-conformance investigations. Periodic time working with our Structured Light Work team. Activity is 80% bench lab work and 20% desk work.
- Responsible for timely and accurate calibrations for Electrical discipline.
- Plan and perform calibrations of Measure & Test Equipment within the specified turn time.
- Troubleshoot items not meeting requirements.
- Interpret and follow written or verbal instructions to perform technical tasks.
- Collaborate with shop-floor personnel and other functional groups (engineering, manufacturing, management) to resolve quality-related issues.
- Continue expanding knowledge of Calibration and Metrology.
- Participate in process improvement for current procedures and processes.
- Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.
- Create standard work and operating procedures.
- Work within SAP to update information on M&TE.
- Implement and support CORE and the Pratt & Whitney CORE culture.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and continuously strive to improve safety.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Academic background in STEM field; engineering, mathematics or statistics preferred.
- Experience with Testing and Calibration Laboratories quality standards, tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of ANSI Z540, AS9100, and ISO 17025 testing and calibration industry standards.
- Experience with Electrical calibration and use of relevant tools.
- Knowledge of Electrical equipment.
- Continuous Improvement experience such as LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma training.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as relevant electronic controls.
- Experience with dimensional inspection and use of relevant tools.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical data.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
