What You Will Do:
We have an opportunity for a talented Security Manager. The person in this role will be the primary point of contact for security for all U.S.-based F135 maintenance facilities. This role will participate in all integration and sustainment activities, and overall execution of contractual security requirements at the sites. The Security Manager will communicate with parties within and outside of their own discipline and will have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization. This includes, but not limited to, managing site inspection schedules, documenting and enforcing security operating procedures, coordinating visit requests, and working with the USG on security procedure implementation. Ability to influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures, while working closely with government customers to ensure Pratt & Whitney is meeting all local security requirements.
The Security Manager may participate in future overseas facility activations. The Security Manager will work with minimal oversight from manager while working side-by-side with the security team of P&W suppliers who manage the facility and the host-nation defense force. The Security Manager will develop and implement USG technology control and security requirements at the selected site. The candidate must confidently apply knowledge of security and program specific requirements to counsel and influence at all levels of the organizations and governments.
The Security Manager will support the entire F135 Security team by enforcing global security requirements. The Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the library of security processes and requirements, physical security standards, information security implementation, and preparing training material. Manage the F135 Security Team metrics/KPI and provides measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans in order to implement business strategies. This will include providing technical support for organizational compliance with flexibility to meet the immediate needs of our customers and team members, while displaying strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining any additional security clearance requirements required for this program. The person will be expected to work onsite in East Hartford, CT offices at 40 hours per week on a regular basis. Some travel may be required (up to 20% domestic or international)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Advanced degree and 5+ years of Industrial Security, Government or Military industry experience; OR Bachelor's degree an 8+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; OR In lieu of a college degree, we will consider 12+ relevant industry experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Possess a Secret or higher DoD security clearance current within the last five years.
- 3+ years' experience with U.S. Government security policies to include familiarity with Department of Defense Manuals and Instructions.
- Basic understanding of government contracts and export control requirements as it relates to the ITAR/EAR.
- Knowledge of or direct experience working with jet engine production or depot operations
- Understanding of development and coordination of standard operating procedures, standard work, and training packages.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
