As a Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) here at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders of critical and technically advanced DOD Programs.

What you will do:
- The Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon's organization and the external supply base. The SQE provides both communication of requirements and performance feedback to the supplier as well as being a conduit for Quality information back to internal functions within Raytheon.
- The PSQE's role includes execution of Supplier Assessments, problem resolution, meeting facilitation and continuous improvement activities through APQP supplier engagements.
- In addition, the PSQE is a key player in the facilitation and management of Supplier risk mitigation, problem resolution, and development.
- The PSQE represents Raytheon professionally and supports RTX Vision, Values, Strategy and Goals as our Quality representative in the supply base.
The position primarily interfaces with the program team in the Tucson, AZ area and is on a hybrid work schedule. Some travel can be expected as part of this role (Up to 50%).
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Drive continuous product / process improvements in the supply base by identifying supplier performance issues and driving solutions through root cause corrective actions (RCCA), and statistical / analytical improvement tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies
- Ensure flow down of requirements internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, quality notes, and statement of work (SOW)
- Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes related to supplier performance and implement necessary engagements to support APQP.
- Assess and develop supplier quality capabilities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identify and correct systemic performance issues.
- Implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), including FRACAS investigations and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
- Identify risk in the supply base and develop a robust plan for engagement.
- Communicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetings.
- Communicate and interpret technical requirements as the liaison between the supply base and Engineering for drawing changes, and disposition of nonconformance.
- Perform Preliminary Review (PR) of nonconforming hardware in the supply base to contain and disposition nonconformance at suppliers, including Supplier Authorization to Ship/Scrap (SATSS)
- Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performance
- Support supplier maintenance efforts such as audits, special process compliance, and certification management.
- Drive quality activities and support as part of hardware management teams and participate on a cadence following up on quality initiatives and metrics.

- Managing a complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc.)
- Expanding on APQP knowledge and applied experience
- Developing key relationships with value streams, our customers, and supply base
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) 8 years of experience in Quality engineering, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline, interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques
- Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools - Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement tools
- Working experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Working experience with commercial and aerospace/defense regulations and standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, and First Article Inspection (FAI) and the AS9102.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications we prefer:
- Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
- Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers, customers and internal teams.
- Current Top-Secret security clearance.
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
- Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely.
- General statistical process control knowledge, including implementation.
- General knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
- Strong technical engineer with excellent communication skills that exhibits presence and influence and self-managed technical contributor.
- Ability to make effective decisions with limited information.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
