The effective candidate will provide technical and strategic support of our products from high-end, low-volume space products to high-volume commercial products. In order to effectively fulfill the required functions of this position, the candidate must have very thorough communication and interpersonal skills. They will play the role of the Program Quality Engineer on SPS programs. This is a key role ensuring mission assurance of our mission critical products to our customer. They will act as the voice of the customer, making difficult decisions and ensuring we are adhering to our processes and our products meet requirements.

They must be very skillful in the establishment and maintaining of effective and lasting working relationships with customers and coworkers based on mutual respect and trust. They will work on cross-functional program teams in all phases of the program lifecycle, from program capture (proposals) to program closure.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Review & develop all contract requirements including the Contract Quality Requirements
  • Development of all inspection plans
  • Lead all hardware sell-off efforts
  • Regularly participate in critical build steps, supplier technical reviews and first article reviews per AS9102
  • Act as liaison by providing interpretation of quality requirements, policies, or procedures to the functional program representatives
  • Lead all Failure Review Boards for the program, working on cross-functional teams to facilitate extensive root-cause and resulting corrective and preventive actions
  • Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics.

U.S. Citizenship required, as the candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance within first year of start date.

Required Skills

  • 5 years' experience within Quality/Mission Assurance
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems AS9100:IS0 9001
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspections per AS9102
  • Proficient in the use of Six-Sigma resources (Production Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Pareto Chart, 5-WHYs, Gauge Reproducibility & Repeatability (R&R), etc.)
  • Thorough working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work alone and in a team environment, including customers and government representatives.

Desired Skills

  • Radio Frequency Industry, Semiconductor Processing or DoD Industry experience
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or Raytheon Expert Certification
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Reliability and/or Quality Engineer
  • Experience in Earned Value Management and Cost Account Management including Bases of Estimation
  • Experience with statistical and analytics software (e.g. Tableau, Minitab)
  • Experience with factory systems and software (e.g. PRISM, SAP, and Windchill)
  • Ability to act as Software Quality Engineer as well as Program Quality Engineer (dual-roles).
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance

Education

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
