Raytheon Product Support is currently seeking a temporary Project Management Liaison/Meeting and Event Specialist to provide product support expertise and day to day support to Raytheon, U.S. Government (USG) clients as well as various international and domestic programs. This position manages and coordinates the operational aspects and all required logistics support for conferences, trade shows and similar meetings. This position will service as liaison between the Raytheon Program Manager and USG Program Manager. Individual will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, client satisfaction goals and objectives as well as develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress. Individual will develop solutions to assist Program Manager with problem solving and problem resolution. Individual will review and analyze the program financials and provide recommendations to the senior program managers on forecasting, manpower planning and Estimate at Complete (EACs). The Project Management Liaison/ Meeting and Event Specialist will also perform additional requests as assigned. This position is contingent upon contract award for additional support. This position will be onsite in Huntsville, AL.

What You Will Do:

• Meet with clients to understand the purpose of the event

• Plan the scope of the event, including its time, location, cost and security requirements

• Solicit bids from venues and service providers within the parameters of the FAR

• Inspect venues to ensure that they meet the client's requirements

• Coordinate event services such as rooms, transportation, security, food

• Monitor event activities to ensure that the client and the attendees are satisfied

• Review event bills and approve payments

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience in Microsoft Office suite of programs, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience is event planning, coordinating and execution

Qualifications We Prefer:

Relevant work experience in hospitality, communication, public relations or related field

Experience with schedules, cost control systems, and work breakdown structures

Understanding of Risk and Opportunity Management

Active Secret Clearance

Self-motivator who takes ownership and drives resolution of problems in a safe and practical manner

Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines and to adapt to a changing environment

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.
