RTX BBN, a noted high-tech research & development company, seeks a creative, organized, people-centered candidate to fill the role of Program Manager in our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Works autonomously with limited oversight leading medium/large projects and programs by developing program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under their authority
  • Maintains and presents plans and progress reports (technical and financial) relating to the project/program for internal leadership and customers
  • Responsible for integrity of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) ensuring that all activities, events and milestones are logically linked and fully resourced with labor hours, and material costs
  • Works closely with technical staff and supply chain to manage the Bill of Materials, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Facilitate the risk process by holding Program Risk Review Boards, to identify and document risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions. Provide analysis and reports.
  • Travel occasionally to partners and corporate offices.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or, an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Program management experience (cost, quality, and schedule) leading cross functional and multi-organization teams.
  • Previous experience working within research and development engineering organizations.
  • Experience using MS Project scheduling software

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with US Government proposal preparation such as cost, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working with US Government customers such as US Navy and DARPA.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
