We are currently searching for a Program Manager to join onsite the Premium Seating Actuation organization located in Winston-Salem, NC. This position leads the Actuation Systems IPT through the life cycle tenets of the Collins Management System with a special focus on development, produce to deliver, service and support.

Qualified candidates should have a background in systems, production, services, and project management with experience leading and managing product or system developments.

This position coordinates activities across the Collins shared services business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, and IPPC (Finance) points of contact in various instances of onsite, hybrid, and remote environments. Emphasis is focused on supporting the production and program execution teams with a variety of activities such proposal activities, financial reporting, action item reporting, subcontract management support, material status, customer deliverable management, risk and opportunity management, and all levels of coordination with the core program team.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for managing portions of development and production programs under the guidance of a senior value stream leader.
  • Develops program plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supports solutions for production and program problems, contract negotiations, and manages important vendors.
  • Consolidates and presents plans and progress reports, and prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results.
  • Receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work assignments. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise on issues. Represents organization as a prime contact on key issues.
  • The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and have experience of driving a cross functional team to deliver to tight timelines, while still being able to manage effective relationships.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate as an integral member of the Integrated Program Team (IPT), demonstrating collaboration, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to achieving team goals.

  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across multiple organizations, especially in a hybrid work environment.
  • Detail-Oriented Multitasking: Manage and prioritize multiple issues affecting Seatings products simultaneously with a keen eye for detail.
  • Analysis: Provide thorough, logical analysis of problems or situations to support informed decision-making.
  • Decisiveness: Make confident, well-considered decisions even under challenging or controversial circumstances.
  • Judgment: Base decisions on factual information and evaluate alternative courses of action to ensure well-informed outcomes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
