As a Product Technician Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading a technician group across all production areas. Your leadership skills will be crucial to their professional development. Product technicians support centrally product non-conformance, assembly tool management, production associate training/certs, and participate in engineering process improving projects. You will be instrumental on leading this group to support areas to success like, but not limited to; SAP QN management, SAP Disposition area inventory controls, Assembly tools preventive maintenance programs, production associate job training and certification coordination, Rework/Teardown process and tooling development, Product failure analysis (RCCA), and EWR product sampling build management. What You Will Do:
- Possess a sufficient depth and diversity of skills to support programs., such as gyroscope and smart inertial assemblies, RCCA, ERP experience such as SAP/Oracle, etc., industrial relations, and overall task coordination skills in a high paced environment
- Set day-to-day operational objectives for team
- Ensure practices and procedures are followed by direct reports
- Ensure assembly operations readiness and flawless execution of product build, tests, teardowns, and inspections
- Interface with multiple engineering and operations cross functional team
- Provide and designate technical support, troubleshooting, and daily executing build and teardown requirements
- Coordinate readiness to expand their technical knowledge beyond assembly to support Operations and Engineering in all phases: Producibility, Efficiently, Excellence, Quality and Commitment
- Develop and coordinate electro-mechanical troubleshooting excellence
- Organize support for electrical/electronic documentation changes
- Become a certified CORE Champion, practice, and teach CORE methods
- Develop weekly technical update reports for significant and critical activities from designated projects
What You Will Learn:
- Leadership in High-Precision Manufacturing: Gain hands-on experience leading a technical team in the production of cutting-edge inertial measurement systems, mastering the complexities of assembly, teardown, and product failure analysis
- ERP System Expertise: Develop advanced knowledge in ERP systems, such as SAP and Oracle, including QN management, inventory controls, and documentation management, which are vital to managing production and engineering processes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Learn to coordinate with engineering, operations, and other technical teams, ensuring seamless integration of efforts across all phases of production, from assembly to product sampling and testing
- Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Methodologies: Dive into Six Sigma, ACE, and CORE methods, using these frameworks to drive process improvements, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize the efficiency and quality of production
- Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting: Expand your technical skillset by leading troubleshooting efforts for electrical and electro-mechanical systems, providing invaluable support for product reliability and operational success
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices orin absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Six Sigma/ACE/CORE Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Electrical/Electronic Vocational School Certification/Diploma or High school diploma with 3-5 aerospace industry experience
- Experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting and teardown
- Strong communication skills, self-starter, self-driven
- Experience with continuous improvement processes
- Self-motivation to plan required tasks and lead a team to achieve significant goals with little outside direction
- Experience with project planning management or leading technical background personnel

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
