What You Will Do

  • Responsible for program execution, ensuring adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.
  • Identifies risks and opportunities, develops mitigations and recommendations to achieve customer satisfaction, cost, and performance goals.
  • Participates in and leads the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, commerciality justification, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests.
  • Supports annual strategic planning efforts for the business and prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results.
  • Drives the next generation technology projects to support all customers.
  • Ability to travel nationally/internationally as needed up to 10%.

What You Will Learn

  • Develop a strong understanding of program management by ensuring programs are executed according to plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Learn to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities within projects, and you'll develop your ability to create mitigation strategies and recommendations to ensure that customer satisfaction, cost goals, and performance targets are met.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Technical background, i.e. engineering, quality, etc.
  • Lean manufacturing/six sigma/ACE/CORE
  • Negotiation and change management experience.
  • Manufacturing life cycle, CMS processes
  • Interpreting aerospace and U.S. government requirements, specifications, and contracts.
  • SAP and MS Project
  • PMP Certification or equivalent

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
