The commodities team, within the Advanced Products & Services organization, is seeking a Buyer who has experience with managing commodity procurements and will support multiple internal customers enterprise wide. The Buyer will be the focal point for interface and communication between the programs and suppliers and should have experience independently reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions and make final recommendations to various Raytheon Technologies Subject Matter Experts, Supply Chain Advisors and/or the Office of General Counsel.

What You Will Do:
Quotation activities
Negotiations
Documentation write-up
Selecting qualified suppliers and seeking alternate suppliers (when applicable)
Supplier negotiations (price, schedule, and terms & condition)
Post-award management in accordance with company directives and work instructions
Required Experience:
Lead formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual requirements.
Place Purchase Orders (PO) of medium to high complexity and process a high volume of POs across various business units.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers.
Ability to perform effectively and independently in a virtual environment.
Manage multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and IPT decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
Proficiency to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification.
Ability to effectively manage job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Ability to quickly assimilate new information, processes and tools.
DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
Use standard computer systems focused on supplier management processes such as SAP.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability to filter information from multiple sources to drive innovative solutions.
Education:
Knowledge of buying complex electrical and mechanical commodities.
Knowledge of reading drawings.
Experience working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
