Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As a Systems Security Engineer - Cyber/ISSE and Product Owner, your day-to-day activities may include:
- Leading and executing Program Increment planning and reviews in a scaled Agile framework environment.
- Ensuring program and customer priorities are met in support of the Scaled Product Owner.
- Partnering closely with the Scrum Master to ensure on time delivery of team products and services.
- Supporting the development of cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
- Defining security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components
- Understanding and integrating cybersecurity development activities.
- Supporting the development of RMF documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations.
- Performing analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results.
- Conducting cybersecurity audits to ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of the security posture.
- Conducting technical and nontechnical trade studies and analysis.
- Understanding, and compliance with, DoD technology release and export licensing policies.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience with Systems/Program Protection/Cyber Engineering/Software Engineering architecture, requirements, determination, development, and/or implementation
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in the field of Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies, NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience in systems security including but not limited to various computer hardware and software S/W operating system and application solutions in both a stand-alone and in LAN/WAN configurations and / or Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems
Qualifications We Value:
- Project management experience, preferably using an Agile framework
- Hands on experience configuring and implementing cybersecurity tools
- Knowledge of information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools
- Knowledge of Platform One DevSecOps environment
- Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS) / Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) / Tenable Security Center, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
- Experience in the field of Systems Engineering, including any of the following: System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies.
- Previous Experience working with Cybersecurity Operations Center
- Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by Intelligence agencies
- Previous software development experience
- Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems
- Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, management, and customers in a team environment
- Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems

Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
