Raytheon an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Naval Shipboard Missile Systems Portfolio within Raytheon's Naval Power Strategic Business Unit, which focuses on Business Critical production efforts within the Standard Missile Family of effectors. This role will be supporting two programs (SM-6 Blk IA / SM-2 Blk IIIC Production) with the primary responsibilities including collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing contractual guidance, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract executions.

What You Will Do
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.
- Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships
- Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise
- Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
- Some domestic travel as require
What you will Learn
- Wide breadth of complex problem-solving experience in dynamic performance environment under U.S. Government Contracts
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and minimum 3 years experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration/ management, Program/Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or business management
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and equivalent U.S. Government regulations
- Ability to partner with others, work in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
- Business acumen with financial understanding of the business
- Effective critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically
- Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
