Raytheon has an opening for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Alternate Missions & Space Portfolio within Raytheon's Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit, which focuses on key pursuits as well as development efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, critical to the future growth of Raytheon. Primary responsibilities will include supporting key pursuits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing contractual guidance, developing Intellectual Property strategies and novel contracting approaches.

What You Will Do
- Work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to manage successful administration of contracts
- Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA)
- Review Estimates at Completion (EAC)
- Conduct proposal reviews and coordinate customer responses
- Negotiate contracts
- Support program management and execution reviews
- Assist with the development of Intellectual Property and investment strategy
- Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
- Minimal domestic travel required

- Contract with multiple Government and non-Government customers via traditional and non-traditional contract vehicles

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
- Experience related to contracts management, program management, business management or supply chain
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (Top Secret) is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Contractual acumen with proficiency in contracts fundamentals with knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, and/or teaming agreements
- Experience managing development contracts in a competitive environment
- Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
- Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements, Intellectual Property, license agreements, or teaming agreements

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
