What You Will Do:

  • You will assist with vulnerability analysis of embedded hardware and networks
  • You will be hands-on and work closely with our customers, senior management, program managers, senior VR/RE experts, and across discipline technical staff to thoroughly understand customer objectives and develop solutions
  • You may also work on or lead Research and Development projects that extend into advanced technology exploration
  • You may travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience developing cyber network operations and cyber network exploit tools
  • Experience utilizing reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja or Radare
  • Experience in embedded architectures namely ARM, x86/64, MIPS or PPC
  • Reverse engineering and vulnerability research on RTOS embedded systems

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • C++/Python
  • Fuzzer development
  • Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP stacks, low level protocols, various communications methods, routing protocols, etc
  • Experience with both offensive and defensive cyber tools
  • Embedded systems knowledge, including comms, I/O, boot-up sequences and device system management
  • Embedded system development and hardware debugging
  • Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred
  • Existing Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) or active within the last 24 months
  • Technical skills in the following areas: binary analysis, malware, reverse engineering, protocol analysis, vulnerability research and large-scale network systems

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
