The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) Product Area as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Principal Analyst.

The National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System, better known as NASAMS, is MRAD's flagship medium range air defense system. NASAMS, which is built in partnership with Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA), is currently deployed in over 13 nations around the world. Due to high demand for NASAMS' battle-proven capabilities, Raytheon's Long-Range Plan contains multiple large domestic and international captures with existing and new customers which will drive significant growth for the business over the next decade.
This FP&A position is a great opportunity for a motivated individual looking for a unique role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment for a product that is in high demand across the globe. The successful candidate will report directly to the MRAD FP&A Manager and will collaborate regularly with the MRAD Associate Director of Finance, MRAD Program Finance teammates, MRAD functional teammates within Contract, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, as well as FP&A leaders within LADS and Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD), the sub-strategic business unit under which MRAD falls.
The selected candidate, in collaboration with other MRAD stakeholders, will be responsible for establishing Long Range and Annual financial targets, updating and submitting monthly financial metric forecast updates, generating risk and opportunity positions, managing internal investment inventory balances and forecasts, reporting on New Business Investment (NBI) resources, and providing the team with financial insight and solutions to help meet or exceed predicted financial performance.
The selected candidate should have strong financial and accounting knowledge, the ability to summarize and present information key to decision making, a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, the ability to multitask and apply innovative thinking to solve challenges, effective and appropriate communication skills, and the ability to execute with team members at all levels of the organization.
This role is being offered in an onsite capacity in Andover, MA and is based on the needs or the business. Relocation assistance is not being provided.
What You Will Do:
- Develop Long Range and Annual Financial Plans for the product area
- Provide monthly financial forecasting updates (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash)
- Analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual variances to financial plan
- Pull financial reports and data from SAP on a weekly basis
- Perform weekly risk and opportunity analysis against latest financial outlook
- Forecast internal investment inventory buildup and liquidations against Appropriations Requests and Company Funding Requests
- Support internal investment request submittals for inventory, expense, and capital items
- Tracking of cash billings and receipts
- Analyze and report on MRAD New Business Investment budgets, EACs, and actuals
- Manage period-ending accruals and other accounting entries as needed
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition across product area
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field & 5 years applicable work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years applicable work experience
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Experience with SAP or similar financial systems
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Value:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
