Raytheon is seeking an individual to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a Principal Cyber Security Engineer-P4 position supporting the operations and maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities at Raytheon Aurora Campus (16800 Centretech Pkwy, Aurora, CO).

The ideal candidate will have a strong cyber experience across the full spectrum of cyber operations from a mission execution perspective, to include vulnerability management, compliance management, database, and enterprise information security infrastructure. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Aurora, CO-16800 Centretech Pkwy, Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do

  • Create Nessus Scan Plans, review and adjudicate Tenable/Nessus Findings
  • Experience with cyber security engineering projects and programs for U.S. Government clients
  • Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing Nessus/Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and DISA STIGs
  • Understanding of security design concepts with ability to develop solutions to moderately complex IS compliance and security problems
  • Assessment and Authorization Support (A&A)
  • Performing and providing vulnerability assessment results and recommendations to the leadership

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience using Tenable Security Center, Nessus for vulnerability and compliance assessment and performing assessments of various operating systems with DISA STIGs and SRGs
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-37, Continuous Monitoring IAW NIST 800-137, Patching IAW NIST 800-40, NIST 800-53 and CNSSI 1253
  • Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent) Compliant Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of DoD RMF Certification and Accreditation Processes, assessing and validating compliance with IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
  • Hands on experience in manual hardening and system compliance
  • Understanding of security design concepts with ability to develop solutions to moderately complex IS compliance and security problems
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work collaboratively across traditional engineering disciplines
  • Must be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing your time
  • Ability to support periodic travel

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
