Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking Power Generation Engineers to support Patriot depot operations from 120 days up to 12 months in Miesau, Germany. The scope of the depot operations is to inventory, test, repair, and refurbish Patriot equipment. The Power Generation engineer is responsible for testing, proper operation and repair of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the Major End Item (MEI) checkout during depot operations and System Integration and Check-Out (SICO).

The Power Generation engineer is responsible for testing, proper operation and repair of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the Major End Item (MEI) checkout during depot operations and System Integration and Check-Out (SICO). Efforts may include the movement, deployment, and installation of the generator sets and power frequency converters for system equipment. Support will be provided for the testing, operation and repair of all power generation and power conversion equipment (such as frequency converters). The Power Generation Engineer will interface with manufacturers of the power generation and power conversion equipment on an as required basis. The Power Generation Engineer also aids the Support Team during unpacking, inventory, inspection, and support of the repair and check out of the MEIs. Responsible for performing Preventive Maintenance Checks Services (PMCS), troubleshoot and repair of generator that support Patriot system. Coordinates PMCS and repair execution activities to the Lead. Provides inputs to development of SICO reports. Creating 2404 and entering non-conformance into Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO). Establishes maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment schedules and availability of parts, tools, personnel, and unit mission. Establishes internal administrative procedures to procure, store, and issue publications, tools, parts, and POL. Manages maintenance float items to replace equipment not repairable within prescribed time limits.

Candidates for this position will be on a Long-Term International Assignment (LTIA) in Miesau, Germany. This position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Must have successfully completed a maintenance course of instruction from a technical institute or approved apprenticeship program.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • BS in a technical field of study or supply chain related experience equivalent of 10 years.
  • Possess experience at the depot level sustainment and repair procedures of Power generation equipment (15K to 150k diesel generators).
  • Experience with the organizational and intermediate electrical troubleshooting techniques of diesel generators.
  • Knowledge of the safe work practices regarding operation and sustainment of electrical power generation equipment.
  • Experience with operation and maintenance procedures on diesel power generation.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an extreme desert heat environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

MUST HAVE A VALID US PASSPORT AND A US DRIVERS LICENSE.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity working in depot and production type environments.
  • Patriot Power generation sustainment and operation experience.
  • Experience working on several types and power rated diesel generators.
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct experience working on power generation equipment.
  • Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs and living and working in an overseas location.
  • Military power generation training and knowledge of 15K to 150K diesel generators and frequency converters.

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.
