The Raytheon Performance Excellence team is seeking a Special Projects Lead to assist with implementation of Program Manager Development (PMD) programs and RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, leads with a collaborative nature, possess strong project management skills, and has a passion for developing program manager talent. The candidate can manage projects with limited oversight, regularly interface with business leaders, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

The Program Manager Development team leads the identification, development, and growth of current and future program managers who enable successful program execution across the Raytheon business. This position is responsible for project management of RLPM improvement initiatives, as well as design, development, and deployment of programs that enable prospective and current program managers to grow into successful leaders, meet Raytheon's business goals, and enhance their technical and leadership skills. The position will be remote with up to 20% domestic travel.
What you will do
- Manage projects and initiatives related to the development of aspiring Program Managers through learning sessions and mentorship/apprenticeship programs.
- Analyze current offerings compared to business needs to determine new solutions and/or improve existing programs, as deemed appropriate.
- Lead the design and development of PMD initiatives that align with organizational goals, objectives and certification requirements.
- Coordinate with current business leaders and instructors to effectively deliver learning content.
- Provide support to related initiatives within the PMD team by assisting in scheduling, event coordination, and follow-up.
- Ensure instructional design principles, adult learning theories and innovative learning technologies are considered and implemented into learning solutions, as appropriate.
- Implement and oversee continuous improvement processes, including analyzing feedback and conducting evaluations to measure program effectiveness.
- Support the development of business-related metrics to demonstrate program effectiveness related to defined business objectives.
- Ensure all deliverables support the reputation of excellence built by the PMD team.
- Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic).
- Ability to overlap with an Eastern Standard Time zone work schedule.

Qualifications you must have
- Typically requires a university degree and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience leading projects using project management processes and practices.
- Experience presenting to leaders and / or people.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
